Theme – International Youth Day
Thought – Youth is the epitome of energy and hope and they are the ones who define the future for any country. “Youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind; it is a matter of the will, quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions.
Speech – Every year International Youth Day is celebrated on 12th august and the theme of this year’s International Youth Day is “Intergenerational Solidarity: creating a world for all ages” the objective of this year’s International Youth Day theme, Intergenerational solidarity: Creating a World for All Ages, is to amplify the message that action is needed across all generations to achieve the SDGs and leave no one behind. The 2022 International Youth Day will also raise awareness on certain barriers to intergenerational solidarity, notably ageism, which impacts young and old persons, while having detrimental effects on society as a whole.
