Theme: World Population Day
Thought: If the world is to save any part of its resources for the future, it must reduce not only consumption but the number of consumers.
Speech: World Population Day was first observed in 1989 by the initiative of the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Program. The United Nations Development Program governing council take the decision to observe World Population Day after seeing the number of populations in 1987. In 1987, the world population crossed the 5 billion mark and that was a worrying situation for the entire world.
World Population Day is celebrated to spread awareness about the exploding world population and the importance of reproductivity health. The main goal of celebrating World Population Day is to control the increasing population of the world.
This year we are celebrating World Population Day 2022 under the theme of “A World of 8 billion: Towards a resilient future for all.
News: The Ministry of Culture has sent a proposal to the BCCI to organise a match between India and the Rest of the World as part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav campaign to mark 75 years of India’s independence.
