Theme: South Indian Festivals
Thought: I am an Indian and we celebrate all the festivals in region of every religion. That is why it is called Incredible India.
Speech: The rich and vibrant culture of South India is reflected in the unique festivals of each state, from Andhra Pradesh to Tamil Nadu, encompassing Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, Lakshadweep and Puducherry. Each state brings its unique flavour to the diversity of the southern culture. These festivals have their unique histories and legends associated with them along with the varied ways in which they are celebrated. Some of the most popular festivals of South India are Onam, Mysore Dasara, Pongal, Hampi, Ugadi, Mahamaham Festival etc.
News: President Draupadi Murmu who is on a 2-day visit to Gujarat, has launched ‘Her Start’, a start-up platform for women entrepreneurs. The platform has been created by Gujarat University. She also laid foundation for several other projects during her visit.
Mumbai University has postponed all semester exams, likely to be rescheduled after Diwali.
