Theme: Northeast festival- Bihu

Thought: Festivals promote diversity, they bring neighbors into dialogue, they increase creativity, they offer opportunities for civic pride, they improve our general psychological well-being.

Speech: Bihu is one of the most important festivals of Assam. It is the harvest festival of Assam which marks the transformation of the season. It is celebrated with lots of fun and enjoyment from the Assamese people.

The festival is of three kinds and is celebrated thrice a year. Bohag Bihu or Rongali Bihu is celebrated in the month of April, Magh Bihu or Bhogali Bihu in the month of January, and Kati or Kongali Bihu in the month of October or November.

News: Nitish Kumar, the Chief Minister of Bihar, visited Patna to assess the state of the Chhath Ghats. He was accompanied by a large number of senior officers.
