Thought: Clothing is a way to say who you are without having to
speak.
Speech: Clothes are like language, can be used both for deception and
expression. They can communicate a personality transparently, they
can also help achieve a camouflage and carry through an illusion. Our
ways of clothing make a huge difference to what people think about us.
Wearing something different might be a way of changing the
impression others have of you. Choice in clothing can communicate
responsibility, and of course social status. However, people purposely
choose different types of clothing to wear in different kind of events.
Different types of occasions make different kind of views.
People wear certain things in order for others to judge them in a certain
way. Clothing is just like other aspects in human physical appearance, it
has a social significance with different restrictions and expectations
being valid according to environment, circumstances and occasion.
