Theme: Dignity of labour
Thought: It is only through labour and painful effort, by grim energy
and resolute courage, that we move on to better things.
Speech: Today, we are living in an independent and democratic age. It
has been realized by most of the people that all forms of labour
contribute to the welfare and development of society. The labourers
through trade unions and different groups have gained success in
attaining a recognized position in society. The word “labour” meaning is
“physical hard work’ work for others and get paid’ physically perform
different jobs”. The dignity of labour is the philosophy that all types of
jobs are respected equally, and no occupation is considered superior
and none of the jobs should be discriminated on any basis. Regardless
of whether one’s occupation involves physical work or mental labour, it
is held that the job deserves respect. The value of a labourer cannot be
defined in little words.
Poem:
If a task is once begun,
Never leave it till it’s done.
Be the labour great or small,
Do it well or not at all.
